This is due to the reduced quality. At the highest settings, screenshots should be taken without any problems. Although they are saved in the buffer as a black screen, they are saved in the screenshots folder in the game folder in a normal format.
Save in a compressed format, such as JPG, so they will load.
It didn't let me change the resolution because I wasn't registered, and registration costs money.
