Does it launch through multiplayer or single-player? Did you check the console for errors?

More likely multiplayer, since I was choosing the player color. The console doesn't seem to be showing any errors.

Did it display a message that brown died? Or didn't it?

Brown is alive and well.

It seems to be clean. No errors are present.

The map disappears from the list if you uncheck "Multiplayer maps".
