Nowizard, thanks for explaining to a simpleton with a higher education in history who brought Christianity to Rus'.
Regarding the Jews – these are not my ideas, but those of my pagan friend. He gave me a book to read called "The Blow of the Russian Gods"... Every zealous Christian should burn this book, along with its author, whenever possible, because it claims that Christianity is a diabolical religion created to destroy the Russians. It's utter nonsense.
And science can explain everything. It doesn't stand still. Once, almost all natural phenomena were considered to be the will of God. And a medieval person also believed that it was impossible to explain them logically. It's the same now... In a hundred or two hundred years, they will surely unravel many of today's "divine" phenomena. Including UFOs, although this is not a divine phenomenon at all :)
Everything that has been proven by science is recognized by scientists around the world, regardless of their nationality, social status, or political views. For example, various physical laws, mathematical formulas, and astronomical phenomena have been proven by science, and no matter what book we open or in what country, we will always find confirmations of all the truths proven by science.
But is it really the same with the non-existence of God? Quite the contrary: the vast majority of scientists recognize the existence of God. All attempts to explain this fact by "social origin" and "bourgeois ideology" are ridiculous and pathetic, because the facts proven by science, such as the laws of Archimedes, Pascal, or the law of universal gravitation, have always been recognized by all scientists, regardless of their origin and ideology. In addition, the very formulation of the statement is absurd: science (usually this term refers to the exact sciences) simply cannot prove what is not within its field of research. Therefore, any talk about the non-existence of God being proven by science is absurd.
For example, how could physics, which studies only the visible world accessible to the senses, establish that there is no other world beyond it, inaccessible to human sensations? The same can be said about chemistry, biology, botany, etc. How can mathematics, which deals with numbers, establish that there are no other categories that cannot be expressed and fully investigated with the help of numbers? This would be the same as if researchers of seawater, who have not reached the bottom in their research, began to claim that there is no bottom in the sea.
From all this, it is clear: the assertions of anti-religious propaganda that God does not exist and this has been proven by science are not only incorrect but fundamentally false.
Alexey, why would gods create the world if they didn't care about it?:)
