Well, an Imp is an Imp. The story behind the nickname is ridiculously simple:

Once I was sitting and doing my homework, playing "Heroes 5" at the same time. I was reviewing the properties of hydrocarbons, and suddenly I realized that judging by the color of the flask in the Imp's hands, it contained a mixture of Berthelot's salt, lithium nitrate, formic aldehyde, iron bromide, and 1,2,3,4,5,6-hexachlorocyclohexane. Realizing that if these substances interacted in a vacuum while being heated with the addition of a "Trivalent Ferral oxide" catalyst, something would be produced with properties and functions similar to an absorbent substance (including for mana as a certain type of matter), I realized that the Nival developers had thought through even such a detail and chose the nickname: Imp, as a tribute to chemistry!
