Am I right in understanding that for Diamond, one-sided units don't need to be changed? :D
I even insisted in WT that Diamond be played without the option to disable one-sided units - otherwise, the risk of restarting the game due to an encounter increases significantly.
For the other templates, it's also not really necessary - it would no longer be a "true" challenge. Unexpected difficulties and heroic efforts to overcome them are, in a way, part of the challenge gameplay. If you fix one-sided units, then by the same logic, you should fix Gurn without a cannon, Bron without crocodiles, Pikedram, etc. People are also actively requesting a guild restructuring, as well as banning the Orb of the Sun and Amulet of the Elements. These things are like the first dose - once you try it, it's hard to stop.
Even though I am a supporter of such things, it should only be within the framework of gameplay mods (WT, Hota). If SoD goes down the path of deep gameplay modification, it will lead to a break with a huge number of "passive" Heroes players - people who know about Heroes and have played it before (single-player or sandbox), but don't play online. And the main mass of new players is recruited from them.
