What is the best course of action?

I voted for the second option, although I also wanted to highlight the last one. In my opinion, I haven't played your maps except for "Two Sisters" and "Lord of the Rings"; those were the ones I liked the most. As for suggestions, finish them and then take a break. And then create a global mod (I'm quietly working on it for myself), which will recreate Heroes 3 on the engine of Heroes 5.
