The early game surprised me. In the end, I got a good start. I immediately grabbed a hidden stash of Vassals and headed to the next zone; of course, there's no way back to my starting town on the way out. I went into the darkness to level up my hero, got experience, healing, then Earth Magic and Tactics skills. I revealed 3 Hives. Meanwhile, the opponent with 8 Vassals and 2 Vivians went deeper into the respawn area, found another hidden stash of Vassals and Gnolls, revealed a Necropolis and a Temple. After a while, I combined my army and prepared to take the first Hive on day 121. The 8th level Hive fell without problems. My plan was to then take another Hive with my hero and head back home, but the opponent lost many troops in the first week, built up his mages with a hidden stash, and almost took control of town 1 with 0 troops.
