God... Truth or fiction?

I have a friend who's a pagan – he believes in Perun :) And he fiercely hates Christianity. He thinks that the ultimate absurdity is to abandon one's native religion in favor of a religion "imposed by the Jews."

Well... :) Actually, Jews are not Christians, they are Jews, and Christianity was brought to Rus' by the Byzantines, and not just any way, but by the will of Prince Vladimir the Great himself. Vladimir Svyatoslavich was a smart man and understood that paganism leads to disunity, since each city had its own god and the inhabitants only worshiped him. Then the prince sent messengers to different parts of the world, and four envoys arrived. I don't remember exactly from which countries (besides Byzantium), but they were representatives of four religions: Orthodox Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, and Islam. Of the four religions, Vladimir liked only two – Orthodox Christianity and Islam, but Vladimir rejected Islam because he, like his retinue, really didn't like the fact that it is forbidden to drink wine in Islam (by the way, this is a historical fact). Vladimir talked for a long time with the Orthodox envoy, and when he left, Vladimir again sent messengers, this time specifically to Byzantium, to see their services. The messengers returned to the Grand Duke already as Orthodox Christians, because they were so impressed by the Greek faith that they were baptized.
