I didn't make any claims against Togana, I just didn't want to continue, why invent something that doesn't exist?

Refusing to continue the game = surrendering. Acknowledging defeat and confirming the report in such a situation is what constitutes good sportsmanship. Or, continue the game without making any claims against the opponent.
Taking advantage of a mana advantage is a perfectly legitimate gameplay tactic; where is the ethical issue?
