Thanks for the match
Confirmed.
Overall a decent layout, external dwelling of archers, but I was short a secondary hero, two Griffin Conservatories very far from the roads.
In the first week I threw away archers on mistakes, at home cavalry were built in the Citadel.
I took Conservatory-2 at the cost of half my Marksmen and a cavalry and moved toward my opponent, arrived favorably, but couldn't have broken through at his Castle, so I just blocked him, didn't take the nearby Conservatory, which turned out to be the right call, I wouldn't have handled a tier-3.
Everything was complicated by the lack of a main hero; I was stuck on Ugro Sorsha without a spell book.
After the buyback I rushed to pick up the Conservatory, which turned out to be tier-3. By the end of the second week I built Angels in the Castle. I cleared the underground treasure zone, but it was rather empty — a pair of small Dragon Fly Hives, a +12 shield which I even lost units over, draining three Angels and all my remaining force on 70 Manticores.
Next I had to drag myself to a snowy treasure zone, where I gathered a decent number of Dragons. In the same treasure zone my opponent was operating, and on his side a Dragon Utopia was visible. I fell slightly short of Shakti on the rush.
I ate my share, moved out the army. With an Archer upgrade and 7 Angels plus Dragons, I run to my home max Dragon Utopia. There, instead of stats and control, I found Captain's Hat, Fire book, Red Orb, and Cuirass to spell power.
Nothing left to eat, Shakti with superior stats, magic, meat, and full control controls the field.
Thanks for the games, good luck further.
Many thanks to the organizers and opponents for the tournament!
