First, all hero artifacts are removed – that’s already a drawback.
Second, with each lost skill, the hero loses 1 stat – another drawback.
Third, the hero loses 75% of their stats so that at the start of the second part, they aren’t too highly leveled, and so that they are on par with the other Dwarf heroes who start the game from scratch.
As a result, the stats turned out as shown in the screenshot. If I hadn’t been running around collecting stat boosts, the hero would have had everything at 1 or 0. That’s the point. At least there’s some kind of foundation.
And with Ballistics, I just got “lucky.”

My stats were much worse when I started the second part. ;)
I understand. I just had Ballistics on the first map in the first slot and it was fully upgraded. That’s probably why it was saved.
And you can make the stats even higher if you want – I just ran into the last computer opponent. He’s a real pain, he got portals and is chasing after the hero. He can’t kill him – the stats are lower with roughly equal armies, but he still keeps attacking.
How many computer opponents are there in the second part? Maybe Ballistics wasn’t just a random occurrence. It’s very powerful in the first part.
