"Battleship" TOURNAMENT - reports and summaries.

Bolivar (Elves, Ossir + Kaspar) defeated Noom (Elves, Vinrael + Gilraen) on the last day of the 2nd month. We restarted the game, and these heroes ended up being available. I started with Dirael and bought Ossir on the 2nd day, just in case. When I saw a stockpile of archers – the only stockpile – I gave all of Ossir's troops to her, blocked the archers, and that was it. At first, I was a bit worried that there was no regeneration in the city, and I was playing as Light. But it was okay. Then there was a critical moment when Vinrael jumped over the wall and headed towards the portal of my starting city. I hoped he wouldn't reach the city, but just in case, I left a unit in front of the city on the road. And then, Vinrael had 3 upgrades available that turn, he almost reached the city, stumbled over my unit, and fell short by one square. Well, Ossir arrived just in time. Vinrael was in Chaos and had machines. It was a close call, but Ossir held out, and Vinrael retreated. He came back again later, and I drove him away again. In the middle of the 2nd month, he came back again, and I successfully killed him without any losses of my own. And since all the heroes had already been bought, Vinrael became mine. At the end of the 2nd month, Noom merged Gilraen into his treasure. That's where it ended, since we were playing without loads. Although Ossir was already ready to go to him in about 4 days – using the same wall-jumping tactic – it was clear that his portal was near the city. By the time the opponent was defeated, Ossir was level 28 (Kaspar was level 20), with attack, defense, and Light (he had resurrection), a Storm artifact, a Log with Keen Mind, and Luck with Deadly Luck. Ossir had pretty good artifacts – 4 Dragon artifacts with a Dragon Ring, a +10 Initiative ring, a Necropolis Cloak, a Dwarven Shield, Sandals of the Saint, and something else. In general, if I had gotten something worthwhile in the two shops a couple of days later, I would have bought it; I had plenty of money. In terms of stats, Ossir was ahead of Gilraen by at least 20 points. And in the city, I had a level 10 hero with troop growth and a Crown. Vinrael, by the way, came with regeneration, was level 23, and was running from the far end to retrain spells and was carrying 4 Phoenixes from the treasure. Even with one Hit & Run and Armageddon, I would have used them before the final battle. I offered my opponent to continue playing for fun, but he refused. Thank you for the game. P.S. After the game, we talked with the opponent, and at the time of Gilraen's defeat, Ossir had more troops in all stacks. And although the opponent said he had a level 25 hero with troop growth, I wouldn't have let him develop for another month or two.
