In the FAQ. Tournament topics and automatic report submission. What are tournament topics and how do they differ from regular ones? In our section Heroes 3 Tournament - Tournaments for Heroes 3 - ONLINE, there are two types of topics: - regular topics, just like on any other forum, which can be created by every registered user; these are dedicated to various questions about the game, discussions, and problems; - tournament topics, which are currently being tested and refined. These topics are created to host online HoMM3 tournaments. Currently, only the forum coordinator Dirty_Player and the moderator responsible for maintaining the ranking in the HoMM3 section, Pit for LM, can create them. After all bugs are fixed and the structure is improved, the right to create tournament topics will also be granted to organizers of official tournaments. Visually, tournament topics differ from regular ones in their structure. The first page of a tournament topic displays the following information: - dates of the tournament; - the top post, repeated on each page of the topic, contains up-to-date information about the tournament; - next comes the post List of Players, containing a list of participants with their contact details; - List of Reports - reports of matches played within the framework of the tournament, with information about confirmation / non-confirmation of the game; - the block Participation in the Tournament is also repeated on each page of the topic. It allows players to Register for the Tournament by clicking this button. After submitting an application, the player sees the status of their application in this block, as well as comments from the tournament organizer, and after being included in the participant list, a New Report button appears here, which allows the player to write a report on the game; - Post #1 (and possibly several subsequent ones) is usually created by the organizer and contains the rules, regulations, and organizational matters of the tournament; it must be read before registering for the tournament; - then follow standard posts for any topic: applications from participants, discussions, comments on the tournament; - in addition, due to technical reasons, there is no Quick Reply option in tournament topics. To reply in the topic, any user can use the Reply button, which is located in two places: at the top and bottom of each page of the topic on the left side (see the second screenshot in this post). How do I submit an application to participate in the tournament? 1. You need to read the information provided by the organizer about the tournament and consider whether everything suits you (the theme of the tournament, time limits, templates, deadlines per round, etc.), as well as determine if you meet the organizer's requirements for participants (compliance with deadlines, level of play, availability of ways to contact you, etc.). 2. A mandatory requirement for most organizers is that you have an ICQ number, which should be reflected in your profile. Therefore, you need to make sure that it exists. If you have one, a small green flower - the ICQ symbol - will be visible under your avatar. If you don't have one, you need to follow this algorithm: or go to the link, which immediately takes you to the Edit Profile page. It is also possible that the organizer requires you to have a login on Skype. The steps are the same - enter your Skype Nick on the same page at the bottom. 3. Leave an application in the tournament topic. To do this, click the Register for the Tournament button: At the same time, in your application, you must indicate the information required by the organizer (for example, in Favorites - your favorite castle, in Novice - your gaming experience, in OFB-8 - templates, etc.). 4. Wait for the organizer to review your application, after which you will see their comment in the Participation in the Tournament field. Also, during the tournament, pay attention to this field, as the tournament organizer may write a message about your current problems there. How to properly format and confirm a game report? After your application has been accepted and you have played a match within the framework of the tournament, you need to write a report on the game. To do this, use the automatic report submission system: Click the New Report button and go to the data entry form. Filling out all fields of the form is mandatory! Enter all the required data about the game, write your comments in the reply window, tell interesting details, and don't forget to thank your opponent for the game. Click the Reply button. Your report appears in the topic, the report line appears in the List of Reports on the first page with the label unconfirmed, and the data is recorded in the database of reports for Heroes 3 on the forum. Your nickname in the report line on the first page is a link to your report in the tournament topic. If you made a mistake in the entered data, you must inform the tournament organizer about the error. You cannot correct it yourself; physically deleting the post with the report will not delete it from the database. After submitting the report, you must send a link to the report to your opponent, and he must confirm the game. To confirm, the player must find the opponent's report either in the tournament topic: or use the List of Reports on the first page: and click the Confirm Report button. Write comments on the game, press Reply, and see your confirmation in the tournament topic, and in the list of reports, your nickname becomes a link to this post with the confirmation. If you have complaints against your opponent in the game, you should not confirm it. Instead, you should contact the tournament organizer or judge directly - write a Private Message on the forum, or contact them via ICQ / Skype, or use any other means.
