God... Truth or fiction?

There is a God, and there are gods. There is a Creator, and there are those who shape destinies. Each has their own role to play. And whether you believe in God or not, He doesn't care. I recently read something by Ilya Novak (apologies for the imprecise quote; I'm trying to convey the meaning): We impose our own standards on the gods. We believe that a god can be offended like a count who is not paid homage by a peasant. And in doing so, we confine the gods within human limitations.
Think about it: how can a Creator be offended by His creation if it doesn't believe in Him? Do you get offended by your own poem if it doesn't praise you?
So, God exists, and gods exist. Everything exists. It's just that there are almost no people left...
