I think Ment is the man, at least if you try to decipher the clues so that both fit well. Besides him, there were no convincing options.

Can you write down your solutions to the clues?

I also tried to decipher them, but it didn't quite fit Ment, but I managed to connect them more or less to Gur:

Clue 2: "Registration: 04.03.2006". George Gamow, a famous Soviet-American physicist, was born on March 4, and according to Wikipedia, among other achievements, he "first clearly formulated the problem of the genetic code." -> phrase from the newspaper "Let me dig into your genotype."

Clue 1: "Haven clan - Alliance of Light: Founded 08.23.06". According to Wikipedia, August 23 is the day of state statistics workers. Statistics -> probability theory -> random processes. Random = non-deterministic, and in the newspaper it was "Your fate was determined at the moment you switched to Unix, traitor!".

I think the clue about the genetic code is okay, but the second one doesn't really appeal to me, to be honest.
