I just noticed that Defiant didn't have any opponents and went straight to the 3rd round, while others started competing from the 1st round. Why did that happen?

I started in the 1st round (the very first one) and immediately went to the 3rd round of the losers' bracket, but the guys who played in the 2nd round of the winners' bracket (r55max and юрист), one of them ended up in the 2nd round of the losers' bracket – it's unfair, to put it mildly.
