Regarding the clue: I checked all the dates in the profiles on Wikipedia, and in no case did I find any capitulations (there were some defeats, but not too significant), or any particularly good news. Except for the already mentioned May 8th, yes. But I won't execute anyone on the first day based on such a clue. I haven't looked at the other parts of the profiles or the clue for mana yet; maybe I'll look at them in the evening.
