You could play this mission until you're old and gray, and it would be different every time. This time I didn't find the handcuffs either, but they weren't needed. Nikolashka wouldn't leave his castle. On the surface, I first captured the castle in the center, then immediately headed for the upper left corner—the castle there was practically empty. Then I moved all my units to the last castle in the lower left corner and simply amassed an army. I already had Phoenixes, Lighting, and a Tear. Moreover, this Tear was found exactly in the same spot where I opened the last obelisk. Nikolashka had 4.5 thousand skeletons; the rest was just a little bit. And so I kept building up and building up—and then suddenly one fine day, a deceased level 26 Necromancer appears for hire in the tavern. I quickly leveled her up to 29 using Silanna's trees, gave her the entire necromantic army, and she easily stomped this Nicholas. Hurrah, comrades.
