Son of the Devil

I don't understand: I found the dark star, and the text says to return to the elemental lord. I received the quest in the prophet's hut near Yeshad, and the prophet's witch also called him that. I click on him with Ra'ilag, but there's no reaction.
I still don't understand how to complete the quest about clearing the path. The most obvious option is to blow it up, but this smuggler doesn't offer any more bombs.
