03.02.14. Pit for LM (blue, random Swamp, random Tazar, Jeddite) def Volodymyr (red, random Rampart, random Ryland, Thane), skirmish, 134.
A decent start, I managed to reach the unguarded prison and found a stable – I decided to play. I started with a group of units from the horde spawn, but there was also Alagar. On day 113, I couldn't reach the village with my first unit, so I bought Octavia with my fifth hero. On day 114, Thane was resurrected, and the next day, he found a +3 cloak while slightly deviating from the path. We slowly started building up, but we were running out of money and wood, so we couldn't even build a tavern in the village. Somehow, with some difficulty, we managed to get horses in the fort with an elf upgrade, but there was nothing in the village.
On day 121, the grand units and horses arrived, we captured a gold mine, and Thane went to Inferno. It would have been good to start with the herbalist's hut, as there's a chest with genies, wood, a refuge, and a quest artifact nearby, and a castle village a bit further away, but it's risky to go there without mana, and there's no way to replenish it, plus Thane is right in front of Inferno. I capture the village, and there's a chest with a pack of bears nearby, as well as a well, but there's hope that there will be something else, and only part of the spawn is visible. I replenish my mana, attack the bears, and a group of gray wolves with a speed of 9 ruins my mood, killing 3 horses, 5 archers, and some kentaur. In the chest, there's 10 experience points, and I level up wisdom and water to expert level. Unfortunately, nothing useful was found. I replenish my mana and head to the herbalist's hut, on day 124, I spend the night in front of the guard, and an opponent appears. If I had gone straight to the herbalist's hut, I would have had time to capture the village and replenish my mana, but who knew that the opponent wouldn't come there until day 124. As it is, the dragon takes all the wood, gives the army to Jeddite, and he can't reach my Thane by one tile on the road. I attack with 2 mages and attack with what I have. There's simply not enough mana for a victory, when the opponent had 7 units left, I could have cast a spell, cast mass bless and mass haste, and then deal 250 damage to the remaining 3 units, but it wasn't meant to be. I cast a bolt, and in response, there's a resurrection and a retreat, and that's how we ended the game. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the game properly.
Thank you for the game!
