Verkhovna Rada deputy from the ruling Party of Regions, Oleg Tsarev, found parallels between the plot of the new film "Viy 3D" and the anti-government protests in Ukraine...
According to him, other viewers also noticed the similarity of the plot with the latest events in the country: "When Father Paisiy gathered the people and began to urge them not to obey Pan Sotnik, someone in the hall loudly said: it's all like in Kyiv at Maidan!", said the representative of the ruling party.
"The 'revolutionary' plot of the film, in the deputy's view, looks like this: 'Using Western technology... Father Paisiy, relying on radical elements – pseudo-Cossacks Dorosh and Overko, paid a thousand hryvnias, with the aim of gaining complete power over people, staged a color revolution against Pan Sotnik... Stones, sticks, and cold weapons were also actively used.'"
Tsarev also discovered "sacred sacrifices" in the film (this wording is sometimes used when describing the technologies of "color revolutions"): Khoma Brut and the Cossack Dorosh...
"The authorities, that is, Pan Sotnik, are actively demonized," the deputy continues his analysis. "His daughter, Panocka, is called a witch. But with the help of God and the real Cossack Yavtukh, the coup was suppressed. The coup plotters were punished. The main character in the end... chooses the direction of Moscow" (the original spelling is preserved – ed. Lenta.Ru). The representative of the ruling party expresses hope that in life everything will turn out the same as in the fairy tale...

Commenting on what is happening, Deputy Tsarev stated that the attempts to stage a "revolution" in Ukraine are driven by the interests of local oligarchs. He also claimed that American political strategists were involved in these events. Tsarev compiled a list of people to whom he proposed to ban entry to Ukraine. Later it became known that some of the individuals included in the list were actually subject to such a ban.
