Good start, got Elves, Clavius and Luna arrived. I ramped up quickly and started raising Necropolis.
Killed the dungeon opponent, scouted the external dwelling of Minotaurs on the first day, and Town Portal'd them at the end of the first week to my citadel.
At the start of the second week, I gathered everything together and upgraded the Minotaurs (ended up with 20), took a Griffin Conservatory-3 from a corner near the dungeon, then went into the treasure zone, which was rich, but nothing to latch onto. I barely fought off a Breastplate +4+4 defended by Archmagi on snow; there were 70 of them, they ate two Angels.
Trying to level Earth magic with Clavius, but two chests gave 15k useless gold instead of experience.
In the end, I went into a Dragon Utopia with only Mass Haste; it was a level 1, went down fine.
After that, I took two more Dragon Utopias, which gave an Earth boost and a Cuirass +10 Spell Power. Combined with the Tome of Earth, I got a decent implosion. Decided to slowly advance toward the opponent.
In the central treasure zone, I picked up a Grail and a Sword +5 All, shook up some Hives, and eventually reached the opponent, took their main town, upgraded the dragons, and the next turn reached their secondary Castle town with zero movement left, was pleased, and instead of Town Portal'ing home, I stayed there. Tazar showed up with a Red Orb, 16 Angels, and 57 dragons, and punished me without a chance.
Thanks for the game.
