Can you recommend a movie?

The 1934 film "Chapayev." The plot is unparalleled, there are no cheesy moments, but there are battle scenes, a love story, and a conflict between the main characters (Who is in charge of the division? - You... and I!). The final scenes evoke a sea of tears, just like in "Titanic." It's a perfect film to watch, and don't read the book; the book is primitive. It's a rare case where the film is far superior to the book.
