That's why you made a two-time winner look like some noob in your flame-troll-thread, which you created yourself.

Not claiming to be the ultimate authority (c), but debatable:

1) Status and PR, the loudness of the name.

For the VT chat it might be loud. For those who like to go somewhere to hang out or escape from their wives — interesting and also very good. If we're talking scale, you could name a tournament on HeroesWorld "europa continental" for example, a few foreigners sign up (and in reality one Maretti would be enough since he's the best European player) and already europa continental > def CIS. And tournaments where foreigners play on HeroesWorld already exist, just under a different name.

2) Participant lineup (quality first and foremost, quantity also matters but less).

In VT they're all folders. Got it. And I can add — as long as there's no Gomunguls with Pete for example, the tournament doesn't hold up to accreditation.

3) Game version. VT > SoD.

We've been through this already. Can't even be bothered to bring it up, I'm leaving now. Good thing you didn't keep it to yourself but honestly admitted it :D

4) Templates. Mirror

I agree with this. But even then, luck is everywhere. Whoever guesses the right direction and runs there first wins.

5) Venue. Club > online.

Oh, these are poker tournaments disguised as Heroes games!
I don't see any particular advantages except protection from cheating and the emotional experience of live communication. As if these "real-life tournaments" are such a sport that it's just insane. Booze-time wasting.

6) Prize pool.

Online tournaments have prize pools too. The same "The Good" organized a prize fund. Those who want to participate do, those who turn up their noses — let them.

I'll add another myth for you

VT players are always in these finals for CIS and other club tournaments,

naturally, but because their asses are easier to get moving than SoD players'.

That's just how it happened, I don't know why.
