Okay, let's compare the tournaments.

Only HL. Alex came in first in his group (2 out of 6 qualified). The group included Javdet, GoD, and ProtosArchon. It wasn't easy to come in first with a 100% result in such a group.
Then, a tiebreaker match against GoD for a spot in the Final.
Final: Dima Surmai, Stinger, Medium, Kilgore, Cobra. 10 out of 10, i.e., 100%.

Favorite-5.
GoD's group: Sevvensan, Hermit, JustObserver, Sanin.
Playoffs: PReDS, Cobra, Maretti, Alonne, Javdet (2 times)

I would argue that the path to victory is more challenging in one tournament than the other. Both tournaments are good. IMHO. In general, winning any tournament is already an achievement.
