Defiant (red, random, Castle, Sylvia, Mullich/Clavius) def .DiGGeR. (blue, random, Rampart, Thorgrim, Kyrre) 8mm6a, 216
The very first roll was simply insanely sweet: got Castle, Luna appeared, starting artifact - Ring +1 HP, a Griffin Conservatory-1 under the town, a Well, excellent guards, a Stable, a good starting army, Damacon. But, of course, the opponent re-rolled that sweetness :) The next roll gave Castle again, Mullich in the tavern, a decent starting artifact - Ladybird of Luck, a Dragon Fly Hive under the town guarded by Air Elementals, a Dragon Utopia, an external dwelling of Monks, a prison guarded by Champions, quick access to an adjacent zone, there was no road to the computer, but along the pathless route towards it two Griffin Conservatories were immediately visible nearby. The starting army was good, Archers were built. The opponent doesn't take a restart, we play. I immediately build a Mage Guild, and it has Haste, Slow, Arrow! In the first week I level Mullich, he gets Offense and Wisdom, I see many low-level guards just right for Necromancy, but Necromancy won't come, as luck would have it :( . The Griffin Conservatories in the adjacent zone turned out to be 1+2-4. Money-wise everything seemed fine, but on day 117 the chain for collecting treasure chests didn't work out, so my horses didn't get built, papal construction: 1-4 in the Fort, but, as it turned out, that was for the best. It was good that the opponent had fewer heroes and hadn't killed his own computer in the first week either. On day 121, with a supply delivery, I kill the Champions, and in the prison.. ta-daaam! Papal Clavius with expert Necromancy, Offense, Ballistics, and advanced Earth magic. Clavius starts doing Necromancy quietly, Mullich takes the Griffin Conservatory-1 and sits in the home computer's Castle, whose construction was 5 times better than mine: not only were levels 1-6 built, but also inside the Castle, and with a Citadel. Meanwhile, Clavius breaks through to the adjacent underground Castle zone, where 2 more external Monk dwellings are discovered. I decide to play through them, I have Monks at home. Right next to the home adjacent zone in the portal, Kyrre is discovered, but I decided not to bother the opponent for now, because there were prospects, and I didn't really want to rush in blindly. Apparently, the opponent thought the same. On the 3rd week, in addition to Clavius, I also pick up Charna, on the computer's zone I take 2 Nagas, a Dragon Fly Hive with 8 Wyverns, a Ring of +1 Speed nearby, and also pick up that Griffin Conservatory which was 2-4 (turned out to be a triple). At home I take my own Dragon Fly Hive and a Dragon Utopia-2, which gives complete junk, but the main thing is there's money, and finally the Angels are built. Fanatics tear through everyone and everything, generally a cool theme. On the 4th week I went to the corner treasure site, there was a Dragon Utopia-2, it gave good stat boosts, also took several Dragon Fly Hives, almost all good ones - for 8 Wyverns. Then I fought on 3 fronts, with Mullich, Clavius, and Charna. Everything went very slowly and inefficiently, because not a single hero got Logistics. I built a Mage Guild in the Dungeon secondary town - it gave Meteor Shower, Blind, Lightning Bolt, and Town Portal (hooray!). After that things got a bit easier. I took another Dragon Utopia, upgraded the Angels, realized there was nowhere much left to go, and moved out towards the opponent. In 2 turns I was already sitting in his main town, having first cut off his growth. Meanwhile, Clavius finds the Golden Bow and a Dragon Utopia, which again turned out to be a one, where they gave something else for stats. With the money obtained, the Wyverns are upgraded. In the end, Mullich ended up with stats around 33 36 23 20, ~550 Skeletons, 63 Monks, 8 Archangels, 66 Fanatics, 120+ Marksmen and a few Flies. The opponent had a strong deficit in army power and stats, so he tried to find something that would allow him to stand against Mullich. He didn't find it, surrendered.
Thanks for the game.
