I can say that we (Russia) definitely don't have anything in common with those Ukrainians who don't respect their own history and are constantly tearing down Lenin monuments and trampling on Soviet flags. I hope that this is being done by fascists, who are clearly in the minority.

There's no need to keep monuments that remind us of the dark times in our history. Germany doesn't have monuments to Hitler, Russia doesn't have monuments to Batu Khan (or whoever extorted tribute from Moscow), and Cambodia doesn't have monuments to Pol Pot, etc. All Stalins and Hitlers should have been torn down long ago and forgotten, like a bad dream.
