It's not about whether I can or can't (I can play any version without problems), but about the technical side of the issue. Many would like to see HL+U templates, but it's very silly to judge after N hours on such templates, because the winner may not be clear, as it's not clear who is outperforming whom. Also, we really don't want to see desynchronizations and important and interesting matches that are not finished because of them.
We also don't want a lack of interesting matches in general. On MM6 and the Mirror map, there are (in the case of a match between two worthy players) a much higher percentage of them than on CM, Jebus, and other small SoD templates. However, some people find it interesting to make complex strategic decisions using the abilities of all 8 heroes and a bunch of objects on the map, while others find it interesting to take a necropolis with a strange army with minimal losses. It's a matter of taste, of course.
