Every state now has two paths of development: the European path, where power is accountable to the people, and corruption is absent (ministers ride bicycles to work), with fair courts and protection of human rights; and the Asian path, where power is not accountable to the people, and the foundation of the state machine is a corrupt pyramid (a traffic police sergeant takes a bribe, keeps part of it for himself, and passes the rest up the chain, with the top of the pyramid being the ministers of the cabinet and the president), and there are no courts. In essence, the authorities treat the people as they please.

You're a bit behind the times. In Europe now, it's exactly what you described as the Asian path :).

For example, power is not accountable to the people there; in fact, the people don't even know who is in power (most people have already realized that these are not the presidents of the countries).

Ministers ride bicycles to work for the same reason – they are not in power, but are hired managers who carry out an image-building task.

The situation with fair courts and human rights is similar – it exists in words, but not in reality. And yes, the volume of corruption there is now higher than in Russia.

Unfortunately... castles in the air must eventually collapse...
