Yesterday, I went to see "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug." So, here's my opinion. The film is complete garbage; it left no positive feelings or impressions. First, they didn't kill a single dwarf, as I expected. Again, they all run away from orcs, whom they could kill in droves without any harm to themselves. There's not a drop of realism. Computer-generated tricks, faces spewing saliva – basically, it's all for children and fanboys who are obsessed with elves. This was annoying, is annoying, and will continue to be annoying. The dragon is absolutely uninspiring. Overpowered dwarves, elves, and humans, the absence of casualties among the civilian population, the idiotic love of a dwarf for an elf. The result: 2 out of 10, don't go to this movie unless you're 5 years old, a fanboy, or have regressed into childhood.
The most interesting thing is that, apparently, a sequel is also expected. But I've had enough of what I've seen; perhaps next time, I'll just buy some beer with that money.
