Regarding templates: perhaps a poll could be conducted – each participant could list their 5 preferred templates. At least for the first two rounds, HL (Heroes League) shouldn't be prohibited. Regarding the format: why an Olympic-style tournament? If you lose on the first day, you still have three days left. I think that with a Swiss-system tournament, each player can decide for themselves after the first loss whether to continue playing or not. With this many participants, it's still 4 rounds, whether it's a Swiss-system or an Olympic-style tournament.
