I may not be entirely sure, but it seems I've identified a certain pattern in the randomness of the AI in the first Heroes game. One of them was already mentioned here. For example, if you're not collecting minerals efficiently, the AI will also build magic towers slowly. Furthermore, I've noticed that if you don't have additional towns, the AI won't rush to capture them. If you don't build castles in your towns or capture enemy castles, the AI will try to have roughly the same number of castles as you, and if it needs more, it will build them! So, the AI adapts to the human player! In my opinion, this is the best AI in all the games in the series! And you can definitely take advantage of this by knowing, at least approximately, the AI's behavior – I'm sharing my observations with you from the bottom of my heart, my companions :)
