If a person cannot/does not want to think for themselves, then everything will be presented to them in a simplified form; the question is, who and how?
But in any case, the truth in any of the versions will be approximately the same – a very small amount.
So, think for yourselves – politics is much simpler than physics and mathematics; it is populated by far from the most brilliant minds, hence the stupid laws that, with proper presentation, the electorate "swallows without thinking".
