Those are 2 different questions :) 1. The idea was that at least 5 spots would be taken from players who are not champions, and they could be added to the main roster. 2. The question was about the qualification process. How will it work, and will the players be divided into seeded and unseeded groups, like in soccer? I understand the extra round and that the draw will be random. Then the question arises: how will the players be determined who will have to play in the 1/64 round, and who will advance to the 1/32 round without playing? And a suggestion: in the very first round, with a random draw, 2 "strong" players might face each other, and one will be eliminated immediately, which contradicts the purpose of the tournament. It would be nice to see a tournament with 32 of the best players. Maybe there is still a reason to divide them into seeded and unseeded groups? It's up to you, or based on the rating, but in any case, it's better than a completely random draw.
