Joseph stared at the ceiling for about half a minute, coming to his senses. When the haze in his eyes more or less cleared, Joseph tried to sit up quickly, but almost fell back onto the bed because of the pain all over his body. With a groan, he finally managed to stabilize his position. He felt a little better knowing that most of his comrades were in the room - and they were alive.
- Who are you? Should we thank you for saving us? - Joseph asked the stranger, while simultaneously scanning the room in search of his diary.
