Only in the Kharkiv region, there is one district (I won't name it specifically) where 10 different companies extract gas from about 200 wells. Guess, are they private or state-owned? :D :D Not a single penny of taxes from this extraction goes to the district budget. Now it's clear why it's "not profitable" to extract their own gas and why there's always a shortage? ))
Obviously, this doesn't apply to everyone, and those who don't understand shouldn't worry, the most important thing is friendship with Russia))).
