You are wrong! Russia and China are currently doing a good job of preventing America from engaging in direct imperialism.
If Russia behaves more aggressively on the international stage, all that the US and the EU can do is bark louder, grumble, and isolate Russia. However, Russia doesn't need this EU.
No country in the EU can survive on its own. The EU has approximately 500 million inhabitants, but unemployment is higher than in Russia, and overall development is stagnating.
Russia has excellent allies – the BRICS countries. You couldn't ask for better. And Belarus too.

As for Ukraine, there is a possibility of its Schism into Eastern and Western parts. Many residents of the Eastern part love the Russians and want to join Russia. Western Ukrainians, on the other hand, are oriented towards the West. And I will gladly say that I will welcome Eastern Ukrainians in my country, hug each one, and shake their hands. As for the Western Ukrainians, who are full of anti-Russian sentiments, and whose schools teach history with a bias towards the US being good and Russia being bad, let them sell themselves to the West, join the EU, and completely destroy their historical East Slavic culture and roots. We don't need them!
