Suddenly, an idea emerged: to give certain city roles (like the mayor or an economist) the option to hire bodyguards for one night for a certain fee.
The bodyguard protects against the first attack, but this can only work once per game. That is, if a player hires a bodyguard and an assassination attempt is made on them, they won't die the first time. But after that, no matter how many new bodyguards are hired, there will be no protection.
Essentially, this would be a "protection against the first attack" for certain roles, but it would have to be paid for constantly. For hardcore players, unsuccessful assassination attempts could be hidden.
