The USA was also a colony of England for a long time. Every country goes through this; everything has its time. But this is not a reason to believe that nothing can be changed and to meekly continue to lick the boots of the master. One must always fight for independence. Events like the Maidan, despite their scale, cannot instantly lead to results. But they are necessary building blocks in the construction of a free society. As they say, freedom is expensive, but it is worth it.

The USA has a completely different history; it's a matter of mentality. All of Europe flocked to America, plus the illegal import of black people throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries. People were hired for various jobs, without having any rights, and in this way, they earned land for themselves in the near future. And then came the typical American dream: family, home, farm. Or a little later, in the 19th century, you could buy land for a pittance (I don't remember exactly how much). America threw territories around left and right until they ran out, moving westward and developing it. No one will go to Ukraine like that. Today, many people also want to go to the USA, but there is nowhere left, and they are raffling off visas.

If we go back to the 18th century, when the USA gained independence, then the main influence came from the large bourgeoisie, who were afraid for their capital. A little over a hundred years later, they would be called the "uncrowned kings of America." In Ukraine, the people have a completely different mentality.
