12.12.2013 shameonyou (red, Conflux, Pasys, Ignissa) def. Dima Surmay (blue, Necropolis, Clavius) 8mm6a 227
The opponent used all restarts, while I still had one left.
First week.
Each hero got 5 air elementals, lots of free stuff, a couple of money-producing buildings, a spread of as many as 7 heroes, there's a Griffin Conservatory, the opponent's secondary is a swamp – good for Necropolis because of Wyverns, also a double, but not that important – I definitely play. Since the respawn was in the corner, its size was considerable, and there were plenty of money and money buildings too. I spent the rest of the first week collecting all this stuff. On day 117, I entered the computer's zone – late due to the crappy road from the respawn to the computer. I stood with two birds, which stood in the fort, and I had 7500 left over.
Second week.
A Griffin Conservatory 2-4 is discovered on the small computer respawn. Ignissa gets Wisdom and Earth magic. I go to the center – main with the peons in one direction, other helpers in another, at home Alkin on psychos farms resources. I take the Necropolis town. Near it there are two Griffin Conservatories, but one is for about 80 Storm Elementals for a Shield +5, an Axe +2, and resources plus the Conservatory itself. I head to the first one intending to take any – no Oil, but there are birds and plenty of meat, and stats aren't bad either. The first Griffin Conservatory turns out to be a minimal one. Knowing there are many Storms there, I take, besides the Angel and birds, fodder in the form of 35 Gremlins and 20 Centaurs, and lose them on autobattle, but without losing birds or the Angel – I agree. The Conservatory is a triple. I take it without major problems. It gives Logistics :).
Ignissa regens mana in the central Castle, and the army goes to take the Conservatory near the computer – a triple. From the scout's view, I see the blue player grabbing Speed Boots for the Sultans (on their own respawn) and a Dragon Fly Hive. The army there has up to 250 Skeletons, up to 5 Angels, and small fry. I build Mage Guild level 5 in the Conflux town, which gave Implosion. The main didn't learn it, since he had already run off and didn't hope for anything worthwhile, and there was nowhere else to build a Mage Guild except Conflux.
Third week.
With a decent army of 7 birds and 7 Angels, I head to the opponent hoping to catch his army on someone, but no luck. Clavius breaks away (apparently into the swamp – I saw by scrying the ground that the army went there). I realize I probably won't catch him, so I check a treasure zone near the road – nothing special there except an Earth Sphere, but it's a bit far.
I took Dima's main – I thought a Mage Guild would be built there, but no. Then I went to the swamp and took the Fortress. I go further to the opponent's last town – Inferno. No Dragon Utopias in sight :(. On day 137, Clavius runs out and is one hex short to attack.
Fourth week.
I look at the army of the arriving Clavius – up to 500 Skeletons, up to 50 Wyverns, up to 5 Angels, up to 5 Red Dragons, Liches, Horses. I decide to attack.
First FB: Ignissa 12 13 6 5 (38), Earth expert, Dragon Fly, 1 + 6 birds, 10 Angels, 1+1+18 air elementals; Clavius 7 8 9 10 (50), Earth expert, 399 Skeletons, 23 Zombies, 4 Horses, 38 Wyverns, 2 Angels. Fearing Mass Haste, I immediately cast Oil and block as best I can. The opponent casts Oil in return. Then, due to the Red Dragons, I couldn't get first turn, but the opponent, imho, makes a mistake – instead of waiting with the Reds, he attacks with them twice. I cast Haste on the 10 Angels and charge into the Wyverns twice. I kill 25 Wyverns (with retaliation losing 2 Angels) since their stats are lower, then he casts Haste on the Skeletons and charges into the Angels. I resurrect with four Angels. Exchange: my side loses 6 Angels and 7 birds, his side loses 100+ Skeletons, 25 Wyverns, 4 Horses, 2 Red Dragons, 4 Liches. I resurrect at home and take a triple Griffin Conservatory (it was far to go back for it – I saved it for a rainy day), then a couple more revealed ones off-road – now I have 13 Angels. On day 147, I finally find the first Dragon Utopia (2), but it gave nothing great – Resist Boots and a Book of Fire.
Fifth week.
I scout a couple of Dragon Fly Hives, 3 portals, all leading to water at the top :D, and another Dragon Utopia in the corner. On day 213, I take it – a triple. It gives a Book of Air, a Speed Plate, and a Gladius :smile13:. I collected several Dragon Fly Hives for 20 Wyverns. On day 215, I take another Dragon Utopia – a double (lucky me :D) with Levitation Boots and a bag of gold :) and then Dimension Door jumped further. I found a town, regenned mana there, found another triple Griffin Conservatory and a double Dragon Utopia with a Captain's Hat and +4 +4 Armor. Then I jumped directly onto a single Griffin Conservatory.
Sixth week.
I gathered 58 Wyverns and 19 Angels. Stats 31 17 10 11 – no more Dragon Utopias in sight. The +1 Knowledge Helm all game – never found a better one :D. On day 227, I jump to the last mana at the opponent's scrub with his army, enter a Well, jump again (Air expert finally) and attack. Instead of Mass Haste, for some reason I cast Implosion on 400 Skeletons – 300 die, the opponent resurrects. Surrender follows, since there's neither army, nor magic, nor stats. Thanks for the game.
