Today, we played against Maretti, both with HD+ enabled. We started a game with him and continued it after saving. When continuing, a window popped up every day, stating that the game should be played with HD+. I definitely have HD+ enabled, and my opponent says he does too. Eventually, I experienced a desynchronization, and my army disappeared. What could be the problem?
I had the same issue, but we were playing from a save on the previous version. On the new version, the notification appears only once a week. By the way, what's the purpose? There seems to be too much of this "distracting" stuff. Also, the pause before the opening cutscene with the version notification seems to have become longer, not shorter (although if it's actually shorter, it doesn't feel that way). Couldn't we simply insert a subtle but contrasting identifying piece of information into the starting interface without increasing the startup time, something static and without duplication during the game?
