Land of Clouds

Aurora was born into a rather ordinary middle-class family. The girl grew up as a quiet and reserved child; she had almost no friends and spent most of her time listening to stories from her grandmother, who had spent much of her youth below. Aurora always felt sorry for creatures that couldn't fly, and she preferred listening to tales about exotic herbs and flowers that never grew in the Land of Clouds. Our heroine's grandmother studied the secrets of plants throughout her youth, and now she willingly shared them with her inquisitive granddaughter.
Even as a child, Aurora dreamed of becoming a doctor like her father. She often helped him, cared for patients, and sometimes even used the knowledge passed down by her grandmother, struggling to find the necessary herbs. The more she learned about being a doctor, the more acutely she realized that the knowledge and skills of even the best physician were not enough to heal severe wounds. That is when she learned about powerful healing magic. Her family warned her about all the dangers associated with studying witchcraft, but Aurora stood firm, and her loved ones decided not to restrain her. Of course, she could have studied magic at home, but the young woman had long wanted to see the mysterious big world, and under a plausible pretext, she set off on a journey. After many hours of flight, miraculously avoiding getting lost in the clouds, she reached one of the human cities. At first, Aurora was treated with suspicion; the graceful and airy winged girl could not help but attract unwanted attention. But soon, she managed to find housing, some work, and a person who taught her the basics of magic for a reasonable fee.
One day, while collecting medicinal herbs in the forest, Aurora witnessed a battle between a warrior in full combat armor and a terrible monster, as if it had crawled out of the worst nightmares. The fight was coming to an end, and the warrior won, but he was seriously wounded. The girl provided him with the necessary assistance and, forgetting caution, helped herself with magic. The stranger was clearly not thrilled with the newly-minted sorceress, but good deeds do not go unrewarded, and instead of life imprisonment, Aurora received an invitation to the Order. After some hesitation, she agreed. In battle, Aurora is of little use – she is not very physically strong, does not know how to wield weapons, and dislikes the idea of causing anyone pain, and will only resort to harming someone if cornered and left with no other choice. However, thanks to her mobility, experience, knowledge, and skills, she is an excellent support unit. And if it weren't for her foolish and dangerous habit of sympathizing with captured wizards and healing their wounds, Aurora would be worth much more.

Modest, quiet, shy, caring, responsible, kind, responsive, usually passive and somewhat "slow," but quickly comes alive when she gets down to business.
