The Crusade (autumn, winter 2013-14)

As I understand it, there won’t be a continuation in the sense of a second stage of the tournament. Does that mean it will start all over again?

The 2nd (winter) stage will begin with a draw; groups of 7 people will be formed based on their placement.
For example, BISHOP, SVAROG, Palach HP, and bubuch are guaranteed to make it into the winter grand final (Group 1). They will be joined by the winners from Groups 2 and 5 of the autumn selection + one more lucky player who took 2nd place and has the best Berger coefficient. You have to agree that playing in such a group of winners is interesting and prestigious.
In Group 2, there will be players who took 2nd-3rd places; the competition here will also be very intense and exciting.
Special distinctions are planned for groups 1 through 3 :). Work on them has already begun; I hope to finish them soon and present them to you.

The criteria for getting into a particular group: 1) placement, 2) Berger coefficient, 3) Elo rating. That is, no one drops out of the tournament; you simply end up in a group with equally skilled players at each stage. The strong play against the strong, and the newcomers play against the newcomers.

A preliminary draw is already ready, but since not all games have been played and not everyone who wanted to has registered for the tournament, I cannot post it yet. However, based on the list of those who have registered, you can get an idea of who goes where. darkello - you’re in Group 3 with me :)
