They met in an enemy stronghold; there's no counter to a staff with -20 initiative. :) My stronghold had no temples or swamps – just a couple of gnome dwellings and a staff. Thanks for the game.
That happened. I messed up terribly throughout the entire game. I accumulated a lot of creatures. I emerged in the stronghold at the beginning of week 4. There was a mentor right at the entrance. Without thinking, I used my machines, hoping to capture an artifact. It didn't work. I took leadership, hoping for some sympathy, but I didn't even get to upgrade it. Vitya emerged in my stronghold, and I decided not to prolong it and sacrificed myself to him. Thanks for the game. Good luck in the tournament.
