This is a horror story flying on the wings of night, not a game :( They shouldn't have listened to those who screamed "Might and Magic 8 is terrible! Because it's similar to Might and Magic 6 and 7!" What else should it be similar to? "Red Alert"? :D
As a result, it turned out to be a clumsy clone of "Wizardry," as buggy as "Daggerfall 1.0." I would have enjoyed playing the ninth installment much more if they had at least kept the old engine. And what did they do with the classes! And where did they put the normal hero "doll"? In general, the originality is like "let's sew a fifth leg onto a dog." Who cares if the dog will limp because of it - the main thing is that it's original. This "originality" has already ruined "Heroes 4," which was popular only because it was "Heroes."
P.S. Maybe "Nival" and "Ubisoft" will put their heads together again and give us "Might and Magic 10"? :D
Well, firstly, there is no hero "doll" because 3DO was bankrupt at the time and tried to release the game as quickly as possible, and they didn't give NWC money for further development. The monster textures were taken from "Legends of Might and Magic," and Nival is unlikely to make "Might and Magic 10," since Ubisoft gave the development of "Might and Magic" to Arkane Studios, but at least they developed "DMoMM."
