We played a diamond-level game against Hellight in the final of the Novosibirsk tournament with a chess timer: 16-8-1. The game was very intense, with battles starting from turn 117, and for two weeks, we constantly fought, taking 2-3, or even 4 villages from each other each turn. This was the most time-consuming (and not only) variant, and the only time I ran out of time was due to my own carelessness. So, with a regular SoD timer of 8 minutes, it should be enough when using the XD mod's features. At the same time, I have never been good at playing Starcraft or similar games and don't have any special skills in using the keyboard.
