Magnus’s RPG empire on the portal.

I slash the icy veil with my katana, cover the distance between me and the priest in two jumps, stun the priest with the hilt of my sword, grab the book, and use the artifact before the elementals can react. I find myself back at the altar. I quickly run down the stairs; the tower is starting to collapse. I jump out of the window – luckily, it’s not too high. And now I’m standing next to the ruins of the tower, with the book in my hands.
