Group C. Care about the people vs Plan B, game 1
24.10.2013 The_ (blue, random, Dungeon, geon, Aislin) def Lim4 (red, random, Conflux, Pasiss) 2sm4d(3) 127.
Griffin Conservatory under the castle, necro in the tavern, amulet for necro nearby, decided to play.
Major money problems, but Aislin leveled up properly with earth magic, logistics and managed to raise 150 bones by m123, when Lim burst into me through a secondary hero, there was something to meet with meteor shower for 350, oil, 100 mana, 150 bones, 4 cats, 8 ducks, 15 Evil Eyes and odds and ends. There: 4 phoenixes, 1 angel, 12 air elementals and odds and ends. After oil and meteor shower, Lim buys back on 4 birds, taking out almost all my Evil Eyes and 2 cats. Then an unpleasant fail occurs — they take my main scout hero away, apparently my own Griffin Conservatory helped them catch up, I have to lose two ducks, but there's obviously 0 money too. After recapturing the main hero, I take the two Griffin Conservatories and through another secondary hero, while eating a box for 10 hoofs (air magic + attack xp) by m126 I stop a day's march from the opponent's main hero. On her turn, Lim surrenders, there is nothing to do against meteor shower for 350 and 260+ skeletons.
Thanks for the game!
My report is dedicated to those who claim that when I lose, I write a report in one line (though they themselves write even winning reports in 5 lines :p ).
After understanding the rules, I chose not only the template, but also the red color. After fun restarts, when with amazing consistency I was dealt either Necropolis or Dungeon with Shakti on top, but in the C zone on a tiny respawn, we found out we were simply creating games without a dungeon :D We decided to zero out the restarts for fairness, but I got Conflux, andThe_ got Dungeon, so we ended up playing without restarts after all)
m111 At the start I got Pasiss, who has the ballista skill, and also have Gervulf, who gladly shared this war machine, just to avoid doing anything himself. Spread of 5 heroes. The second level wasn't built. From the army: 8 air elementals and 50 faeries. I have 4 serpents for speed, artifact - Dove of Luck. At the respawn I see 4 crypts, but one is behind 50+ eyes. Found a mine of ore (I mine it) and wood, decent roads. For the future, a shield +6 behind water elementals. Seems like everything is fine, I decide not to take a restart. I beat gnomes with Pasiss for access to one of the crypts and a bonfire.
m112 I take the mini-crypt. I open the lookout and see the guard on the Inferno secondary hero - group of medusas, on the second secondary hero - group of golems, GO - crystal dragons. Also, my own Griffin Conservatory was pleasing (behind 50+ hobbits) and at the same time The_'s Griffin Conservatory behind Troglodytes was disappointing :)
m113 Long turn. With an army of 14 air elementals, 45 faeries and ones, I take the maxi-crypt, then with a scout I take the pre-maxi-crypt and beat pikemen for a scroll and a campfire. I lose one air elemental and several faeries from the army. No mercury at the respawn. I see there is some on the grass secondary hero off-road behind a horde of group gremlins, but to get to them, I need to either beat a horde of elite shooters, or 100+ group faeries :smile04: I don't want to go at the group medusas either, so a decision is made and a chain is built to the group golems for passage into the underground.
m114 I beat 25 group golems and get as a gift information about the guard from the dungeon side - it's mages! So, we have a fantastic choice: group medusas, marksmen, group faeries, or mages. Well, well, who to choose?) Since the main hero is already here, I attack the mages. I lose all faeries. In the army remain 12 air elementals, 5 fire elementals, 11 gnolls. The serpents for speed are still alive. Happily I run along the path to the secondary hero, I even see the top of Inferno, and there is a block of 50+ eyes for the entrance to the treasure zone. :smile27:
m115 I poked around looking for a detour - there is none. I gathered some gold piles, beat wolves for a chest and crystals. I made a heavy decision to run back up and attack 100+ group faeries, since there, I repeat, behind the horde of group gremlins the only scouted pile of mercury was visible. Not critical in terms of money: already 10 thousand and an unpicked chest and gold pile.
m116 I beat 112 group faeries. From the troops remain 9 air elementals, 5 fire elementals, 1 gnoll and a ballista. Only two mercury, and tomorrow I need to build birds. Even if I beat the horde of group gremlins, it's not enough. Pasiss is an expert in ballista and advanced offense.
m117 Now even Gervulf had to work - he beats 34 dwarves for a mill and a bonfire. Loses the ballista (which dealt only 2 damage), a gnoll and a fire elemental. Too bad about the ballista, but the mill gives 6 mercury! Then, through a chain, Caitlin with archery beats the horde of gremlins and the birds are built, even bought out and go to beat hobbits to mint the Griffin Conservatory)
m121 Griffin Conservatory 1 with a gold mine. Scouts run around, scout the grass secondary hero, find the road to the opponent and into the treasure zone behind a portal guarded by rogues, plus an entrance to another treasure zone in the underground behind dragonflies is found. Most likely on this day I make the wrong decision to take the Griffin Conservatory with the main hero and return him up, losing tempo. I should have run to The_. :smile13:
m122 Small fights with scouts, taking the Griffin Conservatory with the main hero and turning towards the secondary hero.
m123 I break through the rogues with Pasiss, hide in the portal on a speed boost from birds and an angel, to reach the opponent's main hero the next day) Especially since it's a swamp treasure zone and running there doesn't appeal to me. I take the secondary hero Caitlin, build a marketplace there.
m124 Acting according to plan. I pop out with Pasiss, take part of Caitlin's army and she finishes a crypt, then returns the army to the main hero. I run to The_. And then the darkness dissipates and the road gives a direction change not down, but up, plus there are blocks everywhere :D They are easy to beat, but fray the nerves. I decide that I won't reach the castle, though I'll at least clean up the medusa lair and cut off a scout. It's a shame that when I replayed this day, I actually did reach the opponent's castle, thanks to his Griffin Conservatory near the castle... but who knew :smile05: Lots of money, I camp. On his turn, The_ attacks with that cheating Aislin and I'm 300 gold short for the buyback :smile35: Why didn't I sell resources?
I buy back on 4 birds, two fire elementals and a faerie. By accident I managed to capture the Dungeon with a scout) Not for long... I beat the scouts. I found no salvation in the treasure zone from the situation and surrendered when I realized that the next turn I would lose my castle.
Thanks for the interesting game!
