Mafia 73. Forest Kingdom

Act VII. Appeasement.

Every evil will be punished; nature's wrath will strike everyone.
An enraged spirit wandered through the forest, searching for the murderer, unaware of the dryad who was following its trail. She worried about him because he was now vulnerable, and someone had to look after him. Meanwhile, underground, the last of the dwarves prepared to deliver a crushing blow to the enemy. However, he was outdone; he felt something wrapping around him, squeezing him, and pulling him upwards. Tree roots pulled the miner from under the ground; they held him in the air, and next to him stood a man with a staff, his eyes glowing with green flames. For a few seconds, he simply stood there, staring into the frightened eyes of his victim. Then, the spirit sharply raised its hand, pointing it at the dwarf, and the roots instantly tore the poor fellow to pieces.
It was difficult to appease such a powerful force, but not without reason is the dryad called the best healer of flora. Her spells affected the spirit; gradually, it began to calm down until finally, it returned to its original form and retreated into the depths of the forest.
When everything calmed down and the forest was once again filled with vitality, it spent most of it on another manifestation of its will, bringing back to life one of the forest's most valuable inhabitants so that she could continue to help those in need.

The City has prevailed.
