I was thinking about how the Hunter might have died, and here's what I came up with:
My feet led me to Ple-Sen; he was holding some object in his hands, admiring it. It seems this was a new trinket for his collection.
What if Ple-Sen is actually not a satyr, but a Hunter? And Nefela was the satyr, who used "Swap" on Ple-Sen on the first night. Thus, Ple-Sen received "Taunt," hence the description. It's quite possible that he taunted MayHainess without realizing it and received a blast from the cannon :D And Nefela received some kind of trap or "use potion," which was useless for her, but she didn't know that and went with it to someone, falling into Redbeard's trap. On the other hand, it's unclear where the indication of Ple-Sen's true role would be. But no other logical option came to my mind. And by the way, regarding the berserk oak, everything is logical here: it rose today, judging by the newspaper title and the picture. That is, yesterday there were still four worlds, today - minus Kosha - there are three. There is no place for the Hunter.
